[Accelerator will head downstairs in a few minutes with the cane, parking himself in a cozy chair near the entrance. That way Viktor doesn't have to do any wandering in order to find him.
It's nice being back in Etraya. It isn't his home, but it's a hell of a lot better than that shitty fae land, so he's in a somewhat decent mood.]
[ True to his word, Viktor arrives exactly fifteen minutes later, the crutch in his hand. He is walking better now that he's been able to synthesize some of the compounds he'd been missing, but there's still a hint of a limp.
Without any ceremony, he approaches, holding out the crutch. ]
Now that we can speak freely, I would be interested in studying that alloy.
( there's so much going through his head as he makes his way through the sky. so many things he's feeling but the two strongest emotions being anger and distress.
it's the sudden heavy thud of something hitting the ground at ramsey farm that gives away jon's arrival. he's dressed in his superboy uniform, like always, red sneakers kicking up dirt and grass as he hurries his way over to the chicken coop. the chickens cluck, recognizing the boy despite the unexpectedly loud and heavy landing, and he's wiping at his eyes with the heels of his palms as he drops himself down there near the coop, sobbing quietly into his hands. )
[Fun fact, with so few kids around it turns out Ramsey farm is pretty quiet a lot of the time, making it a great spot to do some reading. That's what Accelerator is doing today, curled up in the farmhouse's living room and reading one of the recommendations Harold had given him during their earlier talk.
The silence makes it easy to hear that loud, unnatural thud outside. Accelerator actually starts, glancing up from his book with a bewildered expression. A moment later, he sets it aside, grabs his crutch, and heads outside in time to see Jon making his way over to the chicken coop. Following slowly, by the time he gets over there the kid is crying.
Oh, geez. He doesn't think he's any good with kids when they're being emotional, but there isn't anyone else here and he damn well can't just leave Jon alone with his misery... so awkwardly, he steps closer.]
( he wasn't sure anyone else would be here, so when accelerator makes his way over — when he reaches out to him with an almost uncertain greeting, he looks up from his hands to the boy there with him. blue eyes brimmed with tears, he sniffles some before he forces himself to look away. not so much embarrassed as he is... feeling a lot of things. )
[Accelerator's gaze hangs on Jon quietly for several moments. Something is very, very wrong, and though he's keeping his expression neutral he's pretty damn concerned.]
Reading. [Nothing interesting, in other words. He gets straight to the point as he continues:] What's going on?
I don't celebrate it. The holiday isn't really a thing in Japan, except for some outdated ideas that girls are supposed to give boys chocolates as a gift.
I don't think Echo is in a position to be able to do that. Aurora may have her own limitations, I'm not sure. But the math checks out, I'm certain of that. Finch and I didn't make a mistake, and it isn't some sneaky misdirection.
