At least it hasn't been all that hard to avoid it. Not that I'm expecting the missions to continue being mostly harmless, but so far you either need to be stupid or totally helpless to get killed.
Okay, first, that's fucked up and I'm not sure what the point of that would be aside from giving someone lifelong trauma. Second, what the hell does that have to do with saws?
The foundation is water. I can touch a person and feel where they're hurt and then fix it, so long as I have some water on me.
[ and when she doesn't because guess what the human body is made out of :) she tries not to use herself as a source though, as a general rule. sylvie gets stroppy about it. ]
I've had this power since I was a little girl, hundreds and hundreds of years ago. They were considered gifts and they weren't questioned back then and I haven't bothered to since
[ she really hasn't! she suffers from a deplorable lack of curiosity. willa doesn't even know if her power is actually some kind of hydrokinesis or some kind of healing or both! ]
Unrelated, have you met Riz Gukgak? I think you two would get along well
You'd want to create some proper hypotheses first, that'll allow you to come up with the right variables that can be tested. Since we're talking about healing they'll be biological, like amount of blood or speed of cellular division. Then once you have the variables, you just need to come up with ways to change your independent variable, measure the impact of that change on your dependent variable, and make sure the experiment can be run consistently a few times.
After all of that it wouldn't be hard to analyze the resulting data, adjust your hypotheses, and re-run any experiments as necessary.

It was fucked up though, you're right

Did you have to go through it?

Ben took the drill, I healed him after but it doesn't really make it less horrific.

Is there a limit to your healing? Can you heal yourself?
no subject
Can't heal a corpse from being dead but I can make them aesthetically look better
But no, not myself

I've been able to do it since I was young and back then everything out of the ordinary was considered magic

[This nerd, asking about magic instead of talking about dying.]

It's pretty efficient as is
I'll be honest, you are putting way more thought into this than I have ever done

And don't give me any mysterious "it just works because it does" nonsense. That's bullshit.

[What the hell, Willa?????? This is going to drive him nuts. She is going to drive him nuts.]
What the fuck, that's an incredible way to limit yourself.
Yeah, I have. I met him in detention. He was part of this curfew break a bunch of kids organized in Moorcroft.

[ she's not shocked they were both involved with rule breaking. or that they met in detention, adorable. ]

Well, now that we're talking about it are you at all curious?
no subject
Sure
But how am I to know?

How?
