“Thanks — about the repairs. I was freaking the fuck out when I saw him. Saw how much pain he’s in. Didn’t know what to do, who could help. Asking Aurora...“
Hank takes another sip of his coffee as he chews over his thoughts.
“Wasn’t sure if talking to Aurora would be our best bet. Was worried that might put Connor on her radar, y’know? But I guess he probably already is.”
She knew the last Connor, to some extent. And seeing the new Connor like this... maybe Aurora was unsettled, too.
“That’s about all. I could try and get more out of Connor, maybe, but it’s... a process.”
And Connor gets sad — his smile always drops — whenever Hank brings up the mission. Which is necessary sometimes, but goddamn is Hank tired of seeing Connor hurt.
"I'll deal with it if there are any problems," Accelerator replies firmly. He doubts there will be issues, he trusts that Aurora will provide the parts that Connor needs. She's a good person, she wouldn't want him to be in disrepair or pain. It seems a lot less worrying than this supposed mission.
"You've gotten a lot of information already. I doubt anyone else would've gotten half of that out of him," he says slowly. It's enough to work with, or at least provide some initial steps to stopping any disasters. He looks upwards, his brain analyzing the data points, evaluating possible options forward.
"... I agree about making him deviant. He's a good person, he wouldn't want to see any of us get hurt if he could control himself." He's never actually seen an android go deviant, but he has an idea. "I think there's someone here who can help. He'd want to see Connor do the right thing instead of just shutting him down or worse."
