"I'll deal with it if there are any problems," Accelerator replies firmly. He doubts there will be issues, he trusts that Aurora will provide the parts that Connor needs. She's a good person, she wouldn't want him to be in disrepair or pain. It seems a lot less worrying than this supposed mission.
"You've gotten a lot of information already. I doubt anyone else would've gotten half of that out of him," he says slowly. It's enough to work with, or at least provide some initial steps to stopping any disasters. He looks upwards, his brain analyzing the data points, evaluating possible options forward.
"... I agree about making him deviant. He's a good person, he wouldn't want to see any of us get hurt if he could control himself." He's never actually seen an android go deviant, but he has an idea. "I think there's someone here who can help. He'd want to see Connor do the right thing instead of just shutting him down or worse."
This is disappointing to hear. Not that Accelerator had much hope to begin with, but still....
It means there's no way for him to remember what his guardians look like. That... hurts.
He's quiet for a few moments, disliking all the emotions welling up in him at this news. He doesn't want to deal with this. He doesn't want to deal with any of this.
A reply quickly gets hammered out, and he sends it, glad he's sticking to text.]
[ Vincent isn't even sure what he lost when he died. Did Accelerator know about it? He isn't sure, but well, he made a point of saying he wasn't going to whine if he died.
What he can say, however -- ]
Sorry that I'm unable to repay you for what you've done for me.
[ A hum. ]
It just means I'll have to think of something else.
It's called being polite, Accelerator. Even if I don't mean it, apologies are required and mean something. It creates a bridge between people regardless if they want it or not. You should keep that in mind going forward.
[ Hm. He didn't like being told not to do something and said a bit more than he meant to, but isn't that his life? ]
Personal grievances are personal grievances. If we don't settle them, we'll end up causing issues for others. So, I can't help you with that matter, let's find another.
Well, I think that you are. So, accept the compliment.
[ Someone who will have reasonable returns so long as he gives something of equal worth back, at least. Maybe not even that? But he doesn't like the idea of charity even in the way of actions. ]
No. We're not friends. We're just working together. Don't get it messed up in your head.
I know, I know. It just sounded like you were going in the direction of some overly sentimental proclamation about engaging with people and living life to the fullest or some shit.
