AU Information
AU Name: Yuri
AU Age: 16
Physical Differences: While he'll retain a hormone imbalance that causes his thin, short stature and androgynous appearance, he'll have brown eyes instead of red. He'll start off physically human rather than having an esper brain and body, and therefore won't emit an AIM diffusion field. His traumatic brain injury isn't going to be as severe as in canon in order to allow him to function without a technological aid (his choker, which he won't have in-game). Instead, he suffers from symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness and headaches. He'll retain some motor issues, so he still needs a crutch to get around.
AU History: CW: Child abuse and experimentation, murder.
Yuri grew up in a Silver Court lands orphanage. Having been abandoned there by his parents when he was 5, he's unable to remember anything prior to that age including his real name. 'Yuri' was the name given to him by the orphanage administrators when he arrived.
His life in the orphanage was not a pleasant one. With ties to Silver Court vampires who had a keen interest in humans, the children living there were used in various experiments meant to better understand the sciences and the nature of humanity. The human administrators would run these experiments, with the vampires generally a step removed, acting as patrons or sometimes consultants. Yuri quickly stood out for his intelligence, being extremely talented in observing and analyzing phenomena and using that data, even when minimal, to calculate highly accurate hypotheses. Interested in his potential, the administrators and patrons began experiments to analyze his brain and psychology, and over the next eleven years he was isolated and subjected to a battery of tests and surgeries. Part of these experiments included offering him an exemplary education, studying maths, sciences, the arts and the humanities.
Knowledge is power, so what happens to a person's mind when they're inundated with as much knowledge as possible? Everything in his life became inextricably intertwined to that question.
Things come to a head when, at around the age of 16, the Silver Court vampires supplied the experiment with a couple of thrall girls for him to kill and dissect. This was intended to give him a deeper knowledge in both biology and the philosophical concepts of life and death, and he was reassured that the thrall girls are basically just puppets, so it was fine. It's death, not murder. He goes ahead with the experiment.
Several weeks later a brat looking remarkably similar to the thrall girls showed up at the front door. She was their sister, and at the age of 10 too young to be enthralled herself. She declared that her older sisters had gone missing and she was on a quest to find them and, being a total gremlin, decided Yuri was going to be her assistant on this journey (because he answered the door, it was sound logic). She was an outspoken sunshine-y extrovert and he had no idea how to deal with this, so he proceeded to get dragged along on a wild goose chase. For several weeks he spent time with her, gradually warming up to her. And, to his horror, she made him realize that the thrall girls weren't just puppets. They were people.
His guilt eventually got the better of him and he tells her what happened to her sisters. To his surprise she wound up not rejecting him at all. This is the breaking point for him. Back at the orphanage, he attempted to kill the administrators for the part they played in the deaths of the thrall girls. Unfortunately for him, he was a total noodle up against adults, and while he was successful in killing one of them he gets his skull cracked open in the ensuing fight. Even worse, the younger sister had followed him back, got caught in the crossfire and is killed.
This is the point where the Silver Court patrons swoop in directly, healing him before he can die. This completely unexpected turn of events has them thrilled and they want the experiments to continue, despite Yuri being left with a traumatic brain injury. While he's recuperating the tests continue, including one in which the patrons present him with the opportunity to kill and dissect the administrators he had previously attacked. Desiring revenge he takes it, though it leaves him feeling hollow instead of satisfied. Once he's recuperated enough they send him off to Castle Courtsheart for further education and experimentation. His Maker is one of the original patrons.
AU Personality: Similar to canon, Yuri is an aloof and abrasive individual who comes across as vulgar due to his tendency to speak like a thug. Having based his personality off of one of the orphanage administrators, a foul-mouthed doctor who hated him, this is an aspect of himself he developed at a very young age to avoid rejection and looking weak. This abrasiveness, combined with his isolation while growing up in the orphanage, has resulted in him being socially and emotionally stunted like in canon. He doesn't express his emotions very readily, often appearing indifferent or scowling, and he'd rather avoid people than interact with them.
Since he doesn't have an esper ability to fall back on, he's less inclined to jump to violence as his first response to something or someone. He's a noodle, he knows that shit won't fly, so he makes more of an attempt at holding his tongue when he's angry. If he needs to, however, he's extremely good at wielding violence to get his point across or intimidate people, often using the medical knowledge he gained through his childhood. He's also more proactively curious than his canon self, mainly due to the focus of his experimentation being on the acquisition of knowledge as well as the development of his brain. With his natural talent in observation and analysis and extremely high processing power even with the brain injury, he was actively encouraged to learn and seek out knowledge. Molding him in that direction made it easier for the administrators to do their research.
He has a deeply entrenched guilt for what he did to the sisters, hating himself for killing them and considering himself a monster for that, as well as killing the administrators when given the chance. He can be self-deprecating, downplaying his strengths and accomplishments as things that aren't a big deal or worth talking about. In canon, this guilt also gives him a soft spot for younger girls as they remind him of Last Order. Slightly deviating from canon, in Undying he'll be biased towards girls around his age as well, treating them a little better than he does most other people.
Finally, he's straight up a secret theatre kid. He will forever deny this because aesthetics are very important to him and he wants to keep people at arm's length (both of which he manages by being a growly asshole), but he occasionally enjoys letting loose and being dramatic with deranged laughter, over-the-top acting and bad jokes. It's all very silly, and he hopes it does double duty of freaking people out so they'll stay away from him.

Novice Information
Starting Season: First season
Maker: Aleister, a Silver Court vampire who was one of the orphanage patrons.
Anticipated Court: He'll be starting in Silver Court as part of his backstory, with the intention of transitioning him into Gold or Black depending on how he develops in-game. In terms of Gold, Accelerator's emotional growth will likely be similar to canon, especially as he regains memories, and he'll feel a responsibility to take on a leadership role to push for changes (particularly for thralls). For Black, his edgy, aloof personality and tendency towards being a scary predatory monster fit that court really, really well.
